About the Author: Dennis Niewoehner

Dennis Niewoehner, author of The Transition: Winning the 4th Quarter of Life, is no stranger when it comes to overcoming adversity and challenges in his life. Starting as young as kindergarten, Niewoehner faced difficult challenges. Upon starting kindergarten, Niewoehner could not speak well enough for other children to understand him and spent much of his childhood in special speech therapy classes, often missing other classes in order to do so.

Missing classes meant missing math, a subject that almost had him repeating the fourth grade. A seemingly inauspicious start, however, Niewoehner only grew from these experiences. Today, Niewoehner is a successful public speaker and financial investor.

During the late Eighties and early Nineties, Niewoehner faced great turmoil during the collapse of the Savings & Loan Industry. Heavily involved with different real estate investments, Niewoehner experienced great losses when lenders failed to come through and investors defaulted on their loans. Of course there was nothing for him to do but move forward, so Niewoehner had to start again, a little wiser and more cautious.

Niewoehner’s life is enhanced by his long list of exciting, and often times intense, adventure stories. Spend time with Niewoehner and one may hear about the time the KGB chased him into the night during his time spent in counter-intelligence in Germany.

The culmination of all of Niewoehner’s life events, the good, the bad, and the intriguing, has made him the successful entrepreneur, author, father, and grandfather that he is today. There is no other person better qualified to extend advice to Baby Boomers than Dennis Niewoehner.

Dennis Niewoehner is well-known as a community leader and philanthropist. As well as being instrumental in transforming Parker, Colorado into one of the fastest-growing communities in the U.S., he also serves as a Director on the board of a local hospital and bank.
